Flag Football Recap: Goldwater Takes a Loss

Goldwater extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-7. They were dealt a 32-0 defeat at the hands of the Crismon Rattlers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Rattlers are ranked 28th).

As for Crismon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Carlee Morse continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 123 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 73 yards and one TD on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in November of 2024. Reylynn Lazarin made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goldwater will take on ALA - Queen Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crismon, they will face off against Dysart at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
