Elgin had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Aurora East Tomcats. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Elgin's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Aurora East are ranked 148th).

Daniel Alvarez and Jayden Plancarte scored both of Elgin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Elgin's win bumped their record up to 7-4-1. As for Aurora East, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6-5.
