Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Arrowhead walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Homestead Highlanders on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Warhawks, who have now won eight contests in a row.

While Arrowhead won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-10.

Siena MacCudden had a dynamite game, getting 23 digs and six assists. That's the most assists she has posted since October 1st.

Arrowhead was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matchups.

Despite the defeat, Homestead saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lauren Fitzgibbon had 11 digs. Fitzgibbon is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Arrowhead's record now sits at 29-13. As for Homestead, they moved to 19-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Arrowhead will take on Hamilton on Thursday. Homestead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
