Basketball Recap: Dover Comes Up Short

Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 53-28 to the Susquehannock Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 559th, while the Warriors are ranked 217th).

Leading Susquehannock to victory were Annie Laubach and Johannah Bissett. Laubach went 6 of 14 en route to 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Bissett posted ten points. Maria Agostino was another key player, putting up seven points.

Dover's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Susquehannock, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Dover has already played their next contest (against Spring Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Susquehannock has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against York Suburban.
