Soccer Game Preview: Capital vs. Sandia + How To Watch

The Capital Jaguars will take on the Sandia Matadors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sandia took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Capital, who comes in off a win.

Capital took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Santa Fe 2-1. Capital's winning goal came courtesy of Edwin Lopez.

Meanwhile, Sandia faced La Cueva in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Matadors fell just short of the Bears by a score of 1-0. Sandia's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Capital's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Sandia, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2-2.

Capital came up short against Sandia in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
