Center Grove waltzed into their contest on Thursday with 17 straight wins... but they left with 18. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the University Trailblazers. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trailblazers, too.

Grady Grant was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hudson Stewart, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Center Grove's victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Looking ahead, Center Grove will look to defend their home field on Friday against Guerin Catholic at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 2.4, the Golden Eagles 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for University, they will head out to square off against Eastbrook at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trailblazers will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
