Soccer Recap: Westlake Triumphs

Westlake's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Langston Hughes Panthers by a score of 3-1. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Westlake's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Langston Hughes, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Westlake challenge Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on March 20th. Westlake is facing Chapel Hill at the right time seeing as Chapel Hill is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Langston Hughes, they will head out to face off against Dutchtown at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dutchtown will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Langston Hughes surely won't give up without a fight.
