Baseball Game Preview: Skyview Falcons vs. Belgrade Panthers

The Skyview Falcons will square off against the Belgrade Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyview will be strutting in after a win while Belgrade will be coming in after a loss.

If Skyview beats Belgrade with 11 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everything went the Falcons' way against Billings Senior on Friday as they made off with an 11-3 victory. The Falcons not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25th (when they won 19-0).

Roman Sloan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

Skyview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. The last time their OBP was this high was in their last seven games.

Meanwhile, Belgrade faced Billings West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Golden Bears, falling 20-5. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The win made it two in a row for Skyview and bumps their season record up to 5-12. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Belgrade, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
