Basketball Recap: Valley View Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Valley View had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They secured a 39-34 W over the Palmerton Blue Bombers. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Blue Bombers are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Valley View has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 21-5 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Palmerton and nudges their season record down to 19-7.

As of now, neither Valley View nor Palmerton have any future games scheduled.
