Basketball Recap: Downtown Magnets Comes Up Short

Downtown Magnets was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a blow against the Aspire Ollin Jaguars, falling 60-6. The Suns were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-0.

Ericka Palma was Downtown Magnets' leading scorer, having posted four points. Alexa Antolin held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.

Downtown Magnets' defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Aspire Ollin, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Downtown Magnets and Aspire Ollin's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Downtown Magnets and USC-MAE (who has only given up 24.77 points per game) will meet at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Aspire Ollin will square off against Central City Value at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a squad that's only allowed 22.31 points per game.
