Soccer Game Preview: Bethel vs. Pinole Valley

The Bethel Jaguars will challenge the Pinole Valley Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pinole Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bethel, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Bethel turned things around against Vallejo on Monday. They blew past the Redhawks 4-1. The Jaguars' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Meanwhile, Pinole Valley fell victim to Albany and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 586th, while the Cougars are ranked 269th).

Pinole Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Bethel, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
