Soccer Recap: Sigourney Comes Up Short

Sigourney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Chariton Chargers. While losing is never fun, Sigourney can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Chariton are ranked 57th).

Sigourney's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Chariton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sigourney will face off against WACO at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chariton, they will be playing at home against Centerville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
