Basketball Game Preview: Monte Vista Monarchs vs. Valhalla Norsemen

The Monte Vista Monarchs are taking a road trip to take on the Valhalla Norsemen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Monte Vista's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three contests, but Friday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Monte Vista had to suffer through a 61-22 loss at the hands of El Cajon Valley. The Monarchs were down 45-17 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Valhalla played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by West Hills and fell 66-36. The Norsemen were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-9.

Monte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Valhalla, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-17.

Monte Vista was taken down by Valhalla 61-29 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Monte Vista avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
