Soccer Recap: Jasper County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Jasper County and Temple squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Jasper County had to settle for second. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Tigers who were credited with the win. The Temple Tigers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Jasper County Hurricanes' two. Jasper County just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Ricardo Sanchez Hernandez and Andrew Smith scored both of Jasper County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Jasper County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Temple, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8-1.

As of now, neither Jasper County nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
