Burlington's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Valley Vikings with a sharp 16-8 win. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 10-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Burlington got a massive performance out of Kinsley Weisshaar, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Emberly Thew, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

The victory got Burlington back to even at 1-1. As for Valley, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Burlington will challenge Alamosa at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Valley, they will take on Forge Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
