Meanwhile, Sherry tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March of 2024. At bat, Hankinson scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Sherry scored four runs and stole five bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. In other batting news, Aquinas let Jim Franklin and Greg Doman run wild. As for Burke County, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-8.

Aquinas has already played their next contest, a 19-3 victory against Cross Creek on the 21st. As for Burke County, they will take on Toombs County at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
