Softball Game Preview: Mitchell Marauders vs. Woodland Park Panthers

Mitchell is 0-8 against Woodland Park since September of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Marauders will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Mitchell played against Falcon on Friday and lost via forfeit.

On Thursday, Woodland Park came up short against Florence and fell 12-9. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Christine Renteria and Tyler DiFabio stepped up to the plate in a big way. Renteria went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while DiFabio went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Renteria has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played.

Woodland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Mitchell, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
