Football Game Preview: Atherton Ravens vs. Fern Creek Tigers

Atherton hasn't had much luck against Fern Creek recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ravens will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Atherton's defense has only allowed eight points per game this season, so Fern Creek's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Atherton's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 28-0 win over Eastern. The Ravens might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Fern Creek was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 35-8 loss at the hands of Ballard. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Fern Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Atherton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Atherton was taken down by Fern Creek 58-19 in their previous matchup back in September of 2018. Can the Ravens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
