Softball Recap: Mid-Buchanan Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Victory

Mid-Buchanan extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday, bumping them up to 19-6. They didn't even let the West Platte Bluejays on the board, marking the Dragons' second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Dragons have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Dru Pearson was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Danika Black, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.

As for West Platte, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

On West Platte's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Cline, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Looking ahead, Mid-Buchanan will face off against Worth County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Platte, they will square off against North Andrew at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
