Basketball Recap: West Cabarrus Find Success

West Cabarrus won the last time they faced South Iredell and things went their way on Friday too. The West Cabarrus Wolverines came out on top against the South Iredell Vikings by a score of 54-46.

South Iredell's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryder Block, who went 10 of 18 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Block has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrin Mann, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

West Cabarrus' win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for South Iredell, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Cox Mill the next time they take the court. South Iredell will host Cox Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while West Cabarrus will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
