Soccer Recap: Luella Comes Up Short

Luella lost against Dutchtown back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Luella Lions came up short against the Dutchtown Bulldogs, falling 7-2. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

CHRISTIAN ORELUS wasn't going to let Dutchtown walk away unscathed as he scored both of Luella's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Luella's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Dutchtown, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Luella will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union Grove at 8:00 p.m. on February 25th. Dutchtown also won't see the pitch for a while: their next game is against Fayette County at 7:55 p.m. on February 25th. Dutchtown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.
