It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the St. Joseph Spartans can now relate to. They fell 50-43 to the Scotties on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Joseph in their matchups with Union Area: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julie Spinelli, who scored 19 points along with two steals. That was a full 44.2% of St. Joseph's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Kreinbrook, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds.

St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Union Area, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 19-5.

St. Joseph's road trip will continue as they head out to face Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy on March 9th. Hopefully St. Joseph focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. Union Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
