Softball Recap: Chelsea Comes Up Short

Chelsea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sperry Pirates. That's two games in a row now that the Dragons have lost by exactly three runs.

Chelsea's loss dropped their record down to 12-19. As for Sperry, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-11.

Chelsea didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-1 win against Bluejacket on the 19th. As for Sperry, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-1 defeat against Adair on the 19th.
