If Russellville was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Osage on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell just short of the Fayette Falcons by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Karsyn Duncan made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Schaffer, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Russellville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Fayette, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.
