Baseball Recap: Sandy Takes a Loss

Sandy and Tualatin squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Sandy had to settle for second. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Timberwolves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Sandy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Tualatin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Sandy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tualatin, they will welcome Lincoln on Wednesday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Timberwolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
