Basketball Recap: Branae Jefferies' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Escondido Adventist Academy over Foothills Christian

Escondido Adventist Academy was the 47-19 winner over Foothills Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Foothills Christian Knights on Monday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Escondido Adventist Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Branae Jefferies, who posted 15 points and six boards. Izzy Baker was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Escondido Adventist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Foothills Christian, their record is now 9-5.

Escondido Adventist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-23 loss against Del Lago Academy on the 11th. As for Foothills Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-25 win against San Diego Jewish Academy on the 12th.
