Softball Recap: Lovejoy Comes Up Short

Lovejoy fell victim to McIntosh and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Chiefs, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lovejoy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for McIntosh, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lovejoy will welcome Langston Hughes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for McIntosh, they will challenge Starr's Mill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
