Recap: Ferndale Wildcats vs. South Fork Cubs
The Ferndale Wildcats can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 40-9 win over South Fork at home. The win was just what Ferndale needed coming off of a 68-45 loss in their prior match.
Ferndale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michaela Ellsmore, who scored 12 points. Tinnley Pidgeon was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Ferndale is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for South Fork, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ferndale will square off against the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Bernard's presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wildcats in California (the Crusaders are ranked 104th, while the Wildcats are ranked 347th). As for South Fork, they will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
