Basketball Game Preview: St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats vs. American Eagles

The St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats will take on the American Eagles in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with St. Ignatius College Preparatory sitting on three straight wins and American on seven.

On Saturday, St. Ignatius College Preparatory was able to grind out a solid victory over Salesian College Preparatory, taking the game 55-46. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Pride are ranked 47th).

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when American took on Freedom on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for the Eagles in a 57-40 victory over the Falcons.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for American, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
