Heritage has gone 9-1 against Ridgeland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Heritage Generals will face off against the Ridgeland Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Heritage's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Ridgeland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Heritage's win against Gilmer wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Heritage narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Gilmer 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Generals.

Meanwhile, Ridgeland hadn't done well against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Ridgeland never let Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kaiden Williams was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Koltin Webb was a standout: he scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Stryker Harden, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Ridgeland's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Heritage took their victory against Ridgeland in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 16-1. Will Heritage repeat their success, or does Ridgeland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
