Basketball Preview: Lompoc Braves vs. Cabrillo Conquistadores
Lompoc is 1-9 against Cabrillo since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lompoc Braves are taking a road trip to take on the Cabrillo Conquistadores at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lompoc took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Paso Robles by a score of 47-36.
Meanwhile, Cabrillo had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Pirates with points to spare, taking the game 49-30.
Cabrillo's win came from a few key players Lompoc will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jasmyn Hughes, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played.
