Deweyville beats Hull-Daisetta for their third straight win

Recap: Deweyville Pirates vs. Hull-Daisetta Bobcats

The Deweyville Pirates had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-14 victory over Hull-Daisetta on the road. The result was nothing new for Deweyville, who have now won six matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Deweyville was led to victory by Elijah Curl and Cj Milton. Curl rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while Milton rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Milton was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.

Deweyville's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Hull-Daisetta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Deweyville will be playing in front of their home fans against Sabine Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sabine Pass comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Hull-Daisetta, they will head out on the road to face off against Colmesneil at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Colmesneil is ranked 1145th, while Hull-Daisetta is ranked 1130th).
