Basketball Recap: Laton Comes Up Short

Laton came up into this matchup off a tough 22-point defeat two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Tranquillity Tigers by a score of 22-19 on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 31-20 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Laton still got an impressive performance from Gabriella Alvarado, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Laton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-12 loss against Riverdale on the 4th. As for Tranquillity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-5 defeat against Sanger West on the 4th.
