Football Recap: Schurr Takes a Loss

Schurr lost against Bonita back in August of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats.

Bonita got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Apodaca out in front who rushed for 67 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Schurr now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bonita, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Schurr and Bonita will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Spartans see the field they'll take on San Gabriel at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. As for Bonita, their break will end when they face Colony at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
