Baseball Game Preview: Velva/Drake/Anamoose Aggies vs. Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers

Velva/Drake/Anamoose is a perfect 5-0 against Des Lacs-Burlington since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Aggies will venture away from home to face off against the Lakers at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Velva/Drake/Anamoose's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Surrey with a sharp 17-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Aggies considering their two-run performance the game before.

Meanwhile, Des Lacs-Burlington entered their tilt with Surrey on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Mustangs.

Velva/Drake/Anamoose has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Des Lacs-Burlington, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
