Banks County entered their tilt with Newton on Saturday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 7-0 victory. Considering the Leopards have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Banks County's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Newton, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banks County will head out to square off against Commerce at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Leopards their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Newton, they will take on Rockdale County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.67 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
