Basketball Recap: Coudersport Takes a Loss

After flying high against Austin last Wednesday, Coudersport came back down to earth. The Coudersport Falcons came up short against the Otto-Eldred Terrors on Monday, falling 51-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered against the Terrors since January 16, 2023.

Otto-Eldred found their leader in freshman Baylee Francis, who went 5 of 9 to rack up 13 points along with five assists and three steals. Addie Bell was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Coudersport's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Otto-Eldred, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Coming up, Coudersport will head out to challenge Port Allegany at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Port Allegany will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Coudersport surely won't give up without a fight. As for Otto-Eldred, they will be playing at home against Oswayo Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oswayo Valley's defense has only allowed 24.4 points per game this season, so Otto-Eldred's offense will have their work cut out for them.
