Basketball Recap: Crenshaw Skates Past Fremont with Ease

Crenshaw won the last time they faced Fremont and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Crenshaw Cougars claimed a resounding 47-17 win over the Fremont Pathfinders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Crenshaw was led to victory by Jada Kindle and Jaida Floyd. Kindle dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds, while Floyd posted 12 points in addition to eight assists and three steals. Those 23 points gave Kindle a new career-high. Talita Robinson was another key player, putting up three points and five assists.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Crenshaw was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Fremont still got an impressive performance from Janaea Carpenter, who earned 11 points.

Crenshaw is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Crenshaw has already played their next game, a 78-30 victory against GALA on the 24th. As for Fremont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-36 defeat against George Washington Prep on the 24th.
