Baseball Recap: Inter-Lakes Comes Up Short

Inter-Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 11-6 to the Stevens Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 back in April.

Inter-Lakes saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Palsgrove, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Palsgrove's first of the season. Nolan Streeter was another, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Inter-Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Stevens, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Inter-Lakes is set to take on their familiar foe Kearsarge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stevens will challenge rival Hopkinton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
