The Knights have struggled against the Longhorns recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Fort Bend Elkins' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for George Ranch, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Fort Bend Elkins will be taking part in a tournament against Cypress Park at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for George Ranch, they will square off against Jersey Village at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday.
