On January 8th, the Eden Prairie Eagles were honored by the Army National Guard and The MaxPreps Tour of Champions.  The Eden Prairie Eagles were undefeated this year as they dominated the competition and rode their strong commitment to excellence on the field all the way to the Minnesota High School Football State Championship.  For the second year in a row, they won the championship.

We arrived at Eden Prairie High School early, as we were excited to make sure everything was in order.  The National Guard arrived and set up a really great display table that was hard to miss as students and members of the community arrived at the Eden Prairie High School Basketball game. Master Seargent Schwartz and Staff Seargant Beyl from theMinnesota National Guard did a fantastic job.

At half time of the basketball game, Sam Ritter from MaxPreps was introduced.  Sam immediately charged up the crowd and really set the stage for the accomplishment and honor that this award signified.  While Sam was speaking, the cheerleaders from Eden Prairie High School helped get the crowd even more fired up as they threw out the Tour of Champions T-Shirts to the crowd.  Sam introduced Master Seargent Schwartz who presented the award to Coach Grant, head coach of the Eden Prairie Eagles.  Coach Grant thanked the Army National Guard and MaxPreps for the award.  He talked about how proud he was of his players and the success they had this past year.  He then thanked the school and the fans for their support of the football team.  After the acceptance speech, Coach Grant, Master Seargant Schwartz, and Mr. Ritter took official photos

This was the second National Ranking Trophy for the Eden Prairie's Football Team. They were very proud to display it next to last year's trophy and this year's State Championship Trophy.
