Livingston falls despite strong effort from Adriana Cervantes Molina

Recap: Livingston Wolves vs. Escalon Cougars

The Livingston Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Escalon, falling 73-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Livingston in their matchups with Escalon: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Livingston lost, one person who can't be blamed is Adriana Cervantes Molina. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with ten rebounds.

Livingston struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Escalon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Babasa, who scored 25 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Babasa has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Arianna Velasco, who scored 16 points along with nine assists and five steals.

Livingston has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Escalon, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Livingston will take on Hilmar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Alicia Souza and Cervantes Molina. As for Escalon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hughson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hughson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Escalon is ranked 148th).
