Recap: South Western Mustangs vs. Susquehannock Warriors
The South Western Mustangs were the 49-18 winner over the Susquehannock Warriors when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. South Western was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 48-47 to Susquehannock. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as South Western came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Susquehannock is ranked 288th).
Susquehannock was led to victory by Annie Laubach and Elena Snyder. Laubach scored 18 points, while Snyder scored 17 points along with six assists and four steals. Snyder's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight.
South Western's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Susquehannock, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.
South Western will head out on the road to challenge Red Lion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Susquehannock, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dover at 7:30 p.m.
