Soccer Game Preview: Deer Valley vs. St. Joseph Notre Dame

The Deer Valley Wolverines will challenge the St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Deer Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Deer Valley fell victim to Freedom and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 11-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Joseph Notre Dame). They never let Mt. Diablo onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pilots as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

They hit Mt. Diablo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lauren Macaulay, Lejaia Clark, and Lebeza Alemayehu.

St. Joseph Notre Dame's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Deer Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
