Basketball Recap: Mt. Diablo Drops Highest Score of Season Against Berean Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Diablo). They blew past the Berean Christian Eagles 68-23 on Friday. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Eagles are ranked 701st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Natalie Dance was her usual excellent self, going 12 of 27 en route to 31 points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carlesia Adams, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Mt. Diablo and bumps their season record up to 11-8. As for Berean Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Diablo will venture away from home to take on College Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Berean Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Clayton Valley Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clayton Valley Charter will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Berean Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
