Softball Recap: Fitzgerald Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Fitzgerald's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Brantley County Herons on Thursday. The Purple Hurricane haven't had much luck with the Herons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Fitzgerald's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Brantley County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4-1.

Fitzgerald and Brantley County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Purple Hurricane will take on Bacon County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (318 vs. 16). Meanwhile, Brantley County (ranked 163rd) will meet Coffee (ranked sixth) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
