Baseball Recap: Loogootee Lions vs. Vincennes Rivet Patriots
It's playoff time, and Loogootee had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Vincennes Rivet Patriots on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Emmett Graber made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Loogootee is 3-1 when Graber allows one or fewer earned runs, but 3-15 otherwise. Graber was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Grayson Kluesner, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
Loogootee's record is now 6-16. As for Vincennes Rivet, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.
