Baseball Recap: Father Judge Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

Father Judge won the last time they faced Franklin Towne and things went their way on Saturday too. The Crusaders blew past the Warriors 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kenny Wetherell made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, Nick Wolf was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christian Haigh, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Father Judge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin Towne only posted an OBP of .316.

Father Judge has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Franklin Towne, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Father Judge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Franklin Towne, they will face off against Abraham Lincoln at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Warriors have won five straight at home, while the Railsplitters won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
