Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Broadway walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the New Kent Trojans 6-5. The victory was familiar territory for the Gobblers, who have now won five matches in a row.

Broadway pushed their record up to 22-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for New Kent, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-4.

Broadway didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Turner Ashby on the 14th. New Kent does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
