Soccer Game Preview: Jersey vs. Gibault Catholic

The Jersey Panthers will challenge the Gibault Catholic Hawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Jersey's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Jersey's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They beat Civic Memorial by a goal, winning 1-0.

Meanwhile, Gibault Catholic managed to keep up with Southwestern until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Hawks came up short against the Piasa Birds, falling 4-1.

Gibault Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Jersey, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 5-11-1.
